Camping

This past weekend we made an effort to go camping. It took us a while to actually say. "Yes, we WILL go camping" but we packed everything up and went on our way. We were planning on leaving around 10am on Saturday morning but our dear friend Jason decided to go golfing instead of packing up to go with us. =) So we waited (which turned out to be the best thing we did) and we finally got on the road out to Cold Creek around 11:30am. Of course by this time the kids are SO starving, but of course the food is underneath everything and very hard to get out. Luckily, we had plenty of snacks to keep them occupied for a while. After driving for almost 2 hours we finally reach our campsite. We arrive around 1pm and it is hot! Fortunately for us there was a very nice breeze. Unfortunately, later that night that breeze turned into a gust of wind which would have blown us all away during the night except that we had huge rocks all all 4 corners of our tent. Once we had everything set up, we decided to go on a little hike. There was a really cool trail right next to our campsite. There was a rock that was right up on top of this trail. The girls made it the whole way with hardly falling down. After sitting on the rock for a while the girls decided they didn't want to be up there anymore. So while Matt, Jason, Bailey and I were still sitting on this rock, Natalie, Kylie and Kenzi started walking down the mountain. After they had gotten a little ways ahead we thought it would be best if we went down with them. Kylie had Kenzi's hand and they were falling more than anybody. Kenzi was crying out for me but instead of coming to me she went to Dad. Perfect for me. =D I can definately get down the mountain faster, but then Kylie kept falling and wanted to hold my hand. I slowed down for her and we went down together. Once we all got back into the campsite we had our PB&J sandwiches. The girls had forgotten they were hungry until we got back. By this time it was getting dark and we figured we should start cooking. We got our cool little grill out that Bailey's grandpa gave to us and started cooking hamburgers and hotdogs. I must say they were extremely good. That grill cooks them very nicely. By the time we had eaten dinner it was getting really dark. So of course Matt and Jason decide to build us a fire. When we got the fire going the girls wanted to cook marshmellows. Unfortunately, I forgot the cooking sticks to put the marshmellows on. So the girls went and found some sticks to cook them on. After a while of cooking them it got really late and all of us got really tired. I think the girls and I went to bed around 9:30 or 10pm. After we went to bed Jason and Matt made a HUGE bonfire. Not a good idea to leave 2 boys alone with fire at their disposal. haha. I'm just glad they didnt burn anything down or burn themselves. Very painful. Not fun. In the morning we had eggs and bacon and sausage cooked in the dutch oven. It was very good, but I didn't bring enough eggs. I'll know for next time. We also saw wild horses the next morning. The pictures I have of them aren't that great since my camera doesn't zoom in as much as I want it to. Of course the girls got extremely dirty, especially Kenzi. It almost seemed like right when Kenzi got out of the car she was covered in dirt from head to toe. That child can not seem to stay clean. It was the same way last year too. Natalie and Kylie are getting better about staying cleanish but still cant stop playing in the dirt. But I guess that's what camping is all about for little kids like mine. Getting dirty is just part of having fun. We had a great camping trip this year. I'm hoping we can do it again this year and not waiting a whole other year. Most pictures to come.

As Promised...

This is Natalie's teacher Mrs. Matty. Natalie loves her teacher a lot. She would always draw pictures and what not for her. It was really cute.
All of us. Kenzi was not too happy and Kylie usually gives some weird face in pictures. =)
Natalie with her "No days missed" award and her certificate of passing Kindergarten.
This is at Natalie's Graduation from Kindergarten. This is all of the kids from both AM and PM from both teachers.

Kindergarten days.

It was the morning of August 8, 2008, Natalie is so exciting to be graduating from Kindergarten that she wakes up at 6AM! I am so excited for her that I wake up at 6:30 a.m. Impossible for me right? HA! not that day. Her graduation turned out great. If only I had a video camera I would have taped the whole thing. Unfortunately, I don't. So pictures are going to have to do. Again, unfortunately the pictures are not on this computer i am using. So when I get to the computer that has my pictures I will load them up so all of you can see them. Not that anybody reads this anyway. =D

Fun and Exciting Times!

Today is Bailey's birthday. I'm not sure exactly whats going on today. But hopefully tomorrow she'll be able to come over and swim with us and what not. Her mother is ruining everything. She probably won't do anything else but come over here. Just so her mother can go out and party with her "boyfriend". Very sad really. But anyway, I would be perfectly fine with that. She's more than welcome to. We love having her over.

I'm just waiting for the day when none of them want to see her anymore. It will not be one bit surprising to me. Anyway, I don't want to talk about her.

All is well with everyone here. Matt is working at Southwest Gas. He loves what he does but wishes there was more to do.

I am doing alright. Trying to get in the habit of studying a little bit everyday. Trying to get going on my massage therapy career. If anyone wants a massage, I really need the practice. But besides studying, I've just been taking care of the kids when Connie isn't. She seems to want to take care of them. It's kind of frustrating for Matt and me. But that's for a different day. It's fun taking Natalie to and from school. I don't want to go back to work because of it, but I think it will be good for me to get back to work. It will be strange at first but I will get used to that.

Natalie is loving school still. After a whole year, she still loves it. She's getting a little lazy though. We had an incident where she didn't do her homework until about 10pm. It was quite frustrating for me. But she got it done. But it will not happen again. I guarantee it.

Kylie is just loving to play with Mackenzi all day long. Most of the time she gets along great with Mackenzi. Other times, not so much. But most of the time they just hang out with grandma, which is fine sometimes. But it makes me think they don't like me that much to hang out with me. It's ok though, when we move out it will be a whole different story.

Mackenzi actually is getting really good at playing on the computer. She's only 2 and she's playing the games that Natalie and Kylie do. Natalie and Kylie didn't start playing the computer until they were 3. Both Natalie and Kylie didn't have the eye/hand coordination to move the mouse to where they wanted it until they were 3. Mackenzi actually got it right away. It's amazing how much they learn from each other. Especially Mackenzi since she's the youngest.

Well, thats the life of the "Redd" family. Which reminds me I need to explain that. As all of you know, my last name is Walker and Matt's last name is Price, not Redd. We play this game called World of Warcraft and on that game we are known as "The Redd Family". All of our characters have "redd" in it. My main guy is Lilredd and Matt's is Bigredd. It just kind of stuck and now throughout the server we are known as the Redd family. It is quite fun. But that is the story behind that. =)

I finally gave in to temptation.

Well, I did it. I make a blog spot. You all should be proud.
