Time for an update I think...

Well this year we had Thanksgiving with my in-laws. Matt's brother Doug and sister Pam came into town and we had a blast playing with all the cousins. Cousin Ty and Kenzi became instant best friends again. It takes them a while to warm up to each other but when they do, INSTANT best friends. They had a sleepover a few nights before Thanksgiving and just had a blast.
This is Thanksgiving Day and the best picture I have. I didn't take pictures at the dinner table with my camera but I will try and get copies of those pictures. This is after dinner and Connie and Sherman will most of their grandkids. Only Steve's kids are missing.

It is always great to see family. Especially Matt's side since all of them live out of town. So that is why we weren't able to go to St. George for Thanksgiving if any of you were wondering.

I had thought I'd done so good with Christmas shopping. I started the day after Thanksgiving but of course I didn't count on last minute emergencies. I shall know better for next year and will be more prepared. Christmas was really a blast this year as well. Surprisingly we didn't start until around 8 or 8:30am. It was fantastic....Except for the rudely awakening we got at 3am because our neighbors decided to BLAST their music for an hour. At least it was enough to wake Matt up. When I was younger I'd play music to fall asleep so it didn't bother me as much as Matt. It was just the fact that it was so early in the morning. So we did do something about it. And it hasn't happened for a while but it will....guaranteed it will.

Christmas morning was still really fun. Santa was really nice this year. Although, as soon as my girls opened their presents they started fighting over them. But such is life. It was probably around 9am when my mom stopped by to give us their presents for us. I have yet to take pictures of my living room. Although I have yet to take Christmas pictures off my camera. SO that will be next post of pictures. I know I'm a little late in saying this but Merry Christmas everyone. Hope it was as good as ours. And Happy New Years tomorrow!!! =)

The Best....

This blog will be short today. I haven't been in a blogging mood and nothing particularly exciting has happened. My girls are back in school from break. I'm not sure who's more excited me or them. And I started Christmas shopping before Thanksgiving so now I am all done. The only thing I need to get now are stocking stuffers. Not too hard. =) I'm so good at this game.

Anyway, back to my original reason of writing. I've been reading these vampire books that are just amazing. No, it's not the Twilight series and yes, there are MUCH better vampire books than Twilight. The first book is called, A Quick Bite. They are by Lynsay Sands. There are 10 books in the series and I'm on book 3. I did take a break from them for a while because I had to pack and move into my house. So now I am back reading them and I just love them. The absolute best part of these vampire books are....THEY DON'T GLISTEN IN THE SUN!!!! If you'd like to know more about them I will be glad to tell you. =)

Halloween!!

Bailey's a Vampire, Natalie's tinkerbell, Kylie's Cinderella, and Kenzi's a witch!

We had a blast getting candy, of course, and fortunately didn't get tummy aches.

Kenzi's candy is all gone, no surprise. Natalie's candy is almost gone, she got the most. Kylie's candy is just about gone. And not too sure how much Bailey got or ate. She had a sore throat anyway so I don't think she ate a lot.

Updates...

Yes, I know. I've been slacking. I have been sick and so have my kids. So really that's the best excuse I can come up with. =D

Anyway, I know I've told some people but I will let the rest of you know on here since I don't have most of your numbers. My oldest daughter Natalie, is getting baptized this Saturday at 10am at my stake center on Oakey between Rainbow and Buffalo. She is super excited and can't wait. I did get her scriptures and hopefully they will be here before Saturday but we shall see. She was very disappointed that she didn't get scriptures for her birthday. I was thinking of doing them for her birthday but I think it would be more of a surprise and more special if I did them on her baptism. Then that night, we'll have our wards truck or treat. That should be fun for them as well.

Not a lot has been going on, just a baptism, being sick, and trying to not get everyone else sick.

Breakfast...

I was in my room getting ready to walk my girls to school when I heard Kenzi spilled Natalie's water all over the floor and would not clean it up. Natalie asked her in every possibly way, mean and nice, to clean it up. Kenzi, of course, refused. Then Natalie did something I kind of didn't expect but am not surprised. This is the conversation.

Natalie: Do you want mom to slip?
Kylie: Do you want mom to die or something? If she dies we won't have any more moms. We will have to go in the front yard and find a new one. (turns to Natalie) Right? There will be no one to watch us when dad is at work. (turns to Natalie) Right?

I then hear silence and Kenzi asks where I am. She tells me she spilled Natalie's water and is going to say sorry to her. I tell her that's a great plan. She leaves my room and then I hear,

Kenzi: Natalie, sorry I spilled your water.
Natalie: That's ok. Just clean it up.
Kylie: Yeah, so mom won't die, cause she will if she slips.

I must say my kids do have a wild imagination. Especially Kylie. I had no idea that she'd be able to find a new mom in the front yard. Amazing what you can find in your front yard these days. haha I love my imaginative kids.

Today...

I've been walking to school with my kids since they started school. Usually, not all of us are awake so there's not normally a conversation...Today, however, was different. This is how our conversation went.

Natalie: It's windy today.
Me: Yep, it's cooling off.
Kylie: The wind makes my eyeballs cold.
Kenzi: Yeah, mine too.
Natalie: But if feels good on your eyeballs.
Kylie: Yeah.

We were about half way to school when this conversation started. Although it only lasted a few seconds, I was laughing the rest of the way to school. I love my kids!

First day of school...

First day of 2nd grade!

First day of Kindergarten.

Natalie and Kylie are growing up so fast. This is their first day of 2nd grade and Kindergarten. Before I know it Kenzi will be starting school. Time does go by really fast.
